Meet The Founder
​Hi, I am Vaneita Rose-Hyde.
​
I created Alchemy Essentials after I had a profound experience regarding my work-life balance. I fell into a trap that I see so many of us do, prioritising work, doing long hours, at the expense of myself and my daughter. I soon become “burnt-out” and disillusioned with my work and business at the time. I closed the business initially to spend more time with my daughter, but this also gave me an opportunity to reflect on what went wrong.

The problem was I was serving everybody else’s needs and neglected my own, what was missing was self-care. This encouraged me to investigate holistic wellness as a lifestyle choice. After taking the time to establish my own self-care routine, it felt like it was one of the most empowering things I had ever done. Instantly I thought more people should be aware of this and thus Alchemy Essentials was born.

MY FIRST TRANSFORMATIONAL PRODUCT

When I made my first aromatherapy candle back in 2017, I was ecstatic with myself! At that time I had just started my holistic health journey and transitioning from eating meat to a plant-base diet. My wax of choice was soy wax, which I then infused with lavender essential oil. It had a clean burn and still flame, the scent was gorgeous and so relaxing. The burn time was 35hrs. My family and friends were so excited for me and asked to have some samples for themselves. I then realized a candle wasn’t just a candle, it can soothe your mind, lift your spirit or just change your home decor. With the positive feedback from friends and family, I soon expanded into therapeutic body and bath products that would heal, transform my state of mind as well as feel luxurious on my skin and thus transforming my self-care routine.
